Scribe is a software tool developed by the USEPA's Environmental Response Team (ERT) to assist in the process of managing environmental data. Scribe is available as an import format for EQuIS Professional. It can be found under the Plus section of the Data tab. Learn more about Scribe here.
The Scribe Export is included in many EQuIS Professional data packages and requires the Scribe EDD format, available from the EarthSoft Community Center (ECC) Downloads Dashboard. In order to use the Scribe button, setup is as follows:
1.Unblock the Scribe format zip package. Users can contact Support to request this format.
2.Move the Scribe format zip package to the following sub-folder of the EQuIS installation folder:
[installation folder]\Formats\Scribe
e.g. C:\Program Files\EarthSoft\EQuIS\Formats\Scribe
or %localappdata%\Programs\EarthSoft\EQuIS\Formats\Scribe
Assistance from a Windows administrator may be required to complete this step.
3.Restart EQuIS Professional if it is currently open.
