SPM Plan Overview

One or more sampling plans can be defined for a specific site (i.e., facility). An SPM plan represents the overarching scheduling elements in the database. SPM plans can consist of one task or many tasks. Sampling events (in the form of planned tasks) are created, scheduled, and managed within a Plan.


SPM plans can be created, copied, renamed, opened, closed or deleted from the Plan ribbon in the SPM desktop user interface.

Establishing naming conventions for SPM plan task codes and sample codes will enure unique values within the facility. See the SPM Naming Schemas article and related sub-articles for more information.
